Queen Elizabeth

In 1956 Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain visited the British colony of Nigeria. This pattern was put on the Nigerian market in honour of her visit. Even today, commemorative cloths are quite common in West Africa.
Ghana and Nigeria were British colonies, so commemorative cloths linked to the United Kingdom were only sent to these countries.
