Vlisco honours His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands with commemorative fabric.
His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, who is married to Her Majesty Queen Máxima, has succeeded the Dutch throne on 30 April 2013. Vlisco celebrated this historic moment with a commemorative design on fabric.

West and Central Africa is home to a rich tradition in which historic and important events are celebrated by the creation of commemorative designs on fabric. This tradition and the Vlisco heritage of 167 years of creating iconic and well-loved designs, as well as the strong link between the Netherlands and Africa, made it logical that Vlisco celebrated the investiture with the development of a unique “Wax Hollandais” fabric.
