The Household Gravel

The oldest pattern in the current Vlisco line. The motifs in this pattern are associated with the gravel around a house, hence the name ‘The Household Gravel’. The gravel also refers to the immediate family − ‘It’s sometimes sharp and can cut you deeply’ − that is, your im­mediate family can give you the most pain.
