Icons on a pedestal
Written by Vlisco Stories Team • 9 years, 8 months ago

In a celebration of their best selling designs, Vlisco traders traditionally displayed
collages of their most popular fabrics. These exclusive patchworks, which were
also known as Zoba Zoba, featured each trader’s name and logo.
Inspired by this tradition, Vlisco has created a new design, which draws from our treasure chest of famous Vlisco icons such as the Fan and Rollerskates, presented in the characteristic panelled Zoba Zoba style.
In a celebration of this iconic drawings, our designers created a new fabric design by literally placing a number of famous Vlisco figures on a pedestal. The design is a tribute not only to Vlisco’s rich heritage of iconic drawings, but also to our traders and consumers, who have long collected and treasured our fabrics.
Here are the original stories of the figures (including different names):
Shell / Bunch of Bananas / Coquillage
Hand Main Diamand / Cinq Doights
* Roller Skate - Story missing! Be the first to write a story.
Record / Consulaire / Plaque-Plaque
